Quick To-Go Snack -- Diet Friendly

I am always looking for a quick snack, lunch, traveling lunch/snack.  I made this the other day for my daughter.

1 small apple.

1 packet of the Ritz Everything Crackers.  Side Note:  If you have not tried the Ritz Everything Crackers you are missing out.  They are  marvelous.

Cheese cubes, and a wedge of the Baby Bell Cheese.

All packed in a quick and fast to go container.  Get creative, use bread instead of crackers, add a salad or cup of soup.  Fun, healthy, to-go, budget friendly.

Summertime Wreath -- Outdoor Table

I love everything about this photo.  The birdcage with candles, the upside down wreath, the table, the color of the walls, you name it, it is well done.

I am thinking outside in the summer, thick rope/twine/string and a basil leaf wreath.  Don't have a wreath, just a form, and a swag/garland to make the look.    Yep, I am already dreaming of summer.  Maybe some oranges in the wreath.

Enjoy.  Dream.

I am sorry I do not know where this photo is from.

A Little Christmas Decorating

I decided to do Christmas Light as I call it.  Less decorating and less to put away.  I am really liking it.  I did keep everything up, as our Morkie likes to play with everthing.

My front room, one of my favorites.

Light Christmas down the dining room table.

Instead of a big tree, I just did my clusters on the back game table.  It has a great view of the pasture.
I put a bit of leftover fake fur around the bottom of the trees.
An old Santa our daughter made years ago, on the desk to give us a smile.
View from the desk.  Even in winter it makes me smile.
And last but not least.  Luminarias, or Fireolitos -- (Bags with sand and candles), as our street is on a luminaria tour.  Taking up room waiting for December 24th.  My neighbors reuse theirs.  If it doesn't rain or snow, I might consider it.

Merry Christmas - Light.

True Lime - Lemonade -- Limeade

A new favorite drink of mine.

I have always loved the True Lime -- True Lemon products.  I use them all the time.  The other day when my daughter was looking to get something to add to her water she wanted to try these.  I lvoe that they are all natural.

I have been looking for a limeade for awhile.  I love this.

I use a sparkling water instead of a still water.  Now, these aren't super sweet, like the other add to water products.  I like the bit of tang.

It is my new favorite drink.
Fizzy, refreshing, fun.

This is not a paid post, just a product I really like.
True lime black cherry limeade, Ture lime raspberry lemonade.
Their website is True Citrus.

Poinsettias in the Fireplace

Speaking of fireplaces.  This old house has two.  The front room is one of my favorites.  I love to sit and relax and read up here.  Or, have a cocktail.

I have been putting faux poinsettias in this fireplace for the last couple of years, and it always makes me smile.  Faux, so the dog doesn't eat them.

This year, I am going decorations only, and a few faux tabletop trees.  And....maybe some red ornaments in the bowl on the table.  And, more candles, and, and, and.....

I am taking the less is more approach.

How are you decorating?

Art for your Fireplace

Not using your fireplace?  Have kids or dogs that want to play in it?  Cover it with a large piece of art.  Looks great, easy to remove if you want to use your fireplace.

The art in the photo is Amado Pena - Los Seis.
Don't have any large art?  Go to Michaels with a Coupon and get the large canvas, or
large frames and create your own.

Is it the weekend yet?  I need to do more projects.

Martha Stewart Shooting Star - Fun DIY

I made this star several years ago, from a picture in a Martha Stewart Magazine.  I believe now you can buy them from her website.

It is simply a large star with garland I purchased at Party City, the star is wrapped in lights, and I used light strands for the tail.  I may have to make a few more, if Party City still has the stars.

My neighbor called the other day, and said her kids were waiting for me to put up my star.

I guess I better get busy.

The luminarias are only done on Christmas Eve, as we are on a luminaria tour.

Garden Dreaming in Winter -- Water Troughs for your Above Ground Garden

I am garden dreaming on Cyber Monday.

You have seen pictures of my garden in the past.  I love to label the walls with chalk where the veggies are planted.  Well it is time for some winter garden dreaming.  Scroll down.
Planted and labeled in the past.
 I love fresh veggies.
This is looking to the left instead of the right.  It gets better sunlight.
My brother-in-law was removing these from an installation and he asked if we wanted a couple, and the dirt, we said yes.
Two hugh half round water troughs.  Hmmmmmm.  How will I put them?  What will I plant? How will I fill them, that dirt pile doesn't look like enough.  I love above ground gardens.
Best part, sharing my bounty with family.  On some of the warmer days, I think I will get to preparing them.  Yep, early.  A girl can dream.

Morkie

This guy has come to live at our house.  Probably the reason I have not gotten any blog posts done, in awhile, I have been trying to catch up.

He is so cute, and fun to have around, he is a Morkie - (Malteese/Yorkie). Ok, fine he is ruling the house.  There, I said it.  What can I say?  He is a very cute ruler.

Happy first day of December.  Are you decorating yet?  This guy is hoping for some decorations to chew.  I will make sure that does not happen.
