Lighting Patio

Need some mood lighting on your patio? This is a great quick project. These are just Christmas Globe Lights, you can find them all summer, including on your favorite Restaurant's Patio, which is where I got the idea. So put them on your own patio. Check out Hobby Lobby, Target also has them in their Garden Section, I have even seen them at the Home Depot, or Google Globe Lights, they are easy to find and easy to put up. I just used a staple gun and attached them loosely to the wood portal. They also come in multi color. Now all you need are some Margaritas.

No - Bake Cookies - An old Home Ec Recipe

My daughter was going to work the other day and I whipped up these great no-bake chocolate cookies for her to share with her coworkers, then sent the recipe along to share. I love trying and sharing new cookie recipes, especially ones that have been handed down. This came from a friend of mine, when I looked high and low for it after remembering eating them from my childhood. Now if I could just find an old Texas recipe, called Mississippi Mud Cake, it had marshmallows, chocolate and cake, and was yummy. If anyone hase that old recipe, let me kow. Oh and yes, they are on a custom concrete kitchen counter.

No-Bake Chocolate Cookies

2 C sugar

1/2 C butter

1/2 C milk

2 heaping T cocoa

1/2 C peanut butter

1 t vanilla

3 C oats

Mix sugar, butter, milk and cocoa - boil 2 minutes.

Remove from heat. Add peanut butter, vanilla and oats - beat well. Drop onto wax paper.

Enjoy.
