Crescent Round - Nutella Rolls

This is what to make this weekend.  I was in the mood for some Crescent Nutella Croissants, and thought I had the Crescent Rolls.  What I had was the rounds.  Glad I did.  They are diet friendly, at 100 calories a roll.  Add a bit of Nutella, and bake.  11 minutes later, YUM.

You could make cinnamon rolls,  I am going to do a pumpkin version this weekend.

Fun for the kids.

Simply unroll, add a bit of Nutella, roll back up.

Bake per the package directions.

 Enjoy.
What are you trying this weekend?

Metallic Copper Furniture -- Trash to Treasure

We have had this furniture following us around for years.  We use it and love it (hey, have you priced furniture).  However, it was looking sad.  So for a quick update.  I painted it, yes, painted it copper.  Metallic Copper.  Love it.  Oh, and I already owned the paint.

Super easy, fast, and looks great.

Next, a silver one for the front bedroom.

Enjoy.

Before.

Huge scratches, and marks.  Just a sad piece of furniture.
In process.  See the copper on the side.
Another in process.  That is how faded the wood got over the years.  A little copper on the side.  Already loving it.
Finito.  Finished.  Love.
We have a super weird tight smallish room.  Mostly, you see it from the side, as you enter the room.
The paint I used.  Let me tell you this 1 jar did this furniture, with some to spare.  Love it.
It looks amazing.
Next on my list, the low boy in silver for the guest room.

Make it a great weekend.

Easy Way to Keep Front Load Washer Smelling Fresh

Our laundry room is more of a pass-thru. Yep, you can see it sandwiched between 2 doors.  Front load washers should have the door open between washing so the seals dry and it doesn't smell.  Well, in my laundry area that would be impossible, and you would run into the washer door all the time.

When I was over at my Parent's house awhile back, they had a towel draped over the dishwasher, (I assume for the same reason) to keep it open just a touch for airing out.  (I have a portable -- hook up to the sink one at my house -- yep old timey).  I had what they call a light bulb moment and took a mental pic, and decided to do it with my washing machine.

I did run a cleaner thru it (just the Tide one from the grocery store-- love the smell). Then found an old towel.  Voila.  Love it.  Yes, it does keep the washer from smelling.

Fun Facts --Markings on a Solo Cup

The next time you are at the Grocery Store, or Costco, or whichever store sells the plastic throw away cups.  Check this out. According to Kegworks, the lines on a Solo (brand name) cup are measurement marks.

Did you know about the markings/measurement marks on the cups?  I never knew.  Do the generic ones or other brands have them too.  I may have to hold them side by side and see.  It may just be a Solo (brand) thing.  Can't wait to check it out.

Great fun fact to know.
Image from Kegworks-- great site.
Have a safe Labor Day.  I will be painting, (I hope).  Projects to finish and all.
