Fur Chair --- Fur Windsor Chair -- Done

Yes.  That's all I can say.  One project done.  This is one of those Windsor Style chairs that has been hanging around my house for years.  It has had several re-do's along the way.  Below in it's original state.  Now, I do have to say this style of chair is not the easiest to fur, as it has a rounded kind of back.  However, as you can see by the bottom photos, well worth it.

After one re-do where I put foam and fabric on the cushion to make it more comfy.  It was this way for awhile, then I changed the fabric on the seat cushion.  But, still was not crazy about it.

Now, it is a fur chair.
Windsor chairs, with their rounded back are not the easiest to fur.  But, it looks better and more fun than before.
I simply painted the legs with some left over metallic silver spray paint. Truly debated between black, gold and silver.  But was feeling the silver, so silver left over paint it was.

Cut and stapled about $9.00 worth of fur.  Use those fabric coupons.  And there you have it.  A Fur Windsor Chair.

Amazing abstract art pictured by Ed Wyatt, link here, Ed Wyatt.

Make it a great Monday.

The Project Police Are Going to Cite Me...

Seriously, I can't stop half-way doing projects.  I don't know what it is.  Anyway, here is another one I am contemplating.  The fireplace wall has these weird metal shelves, nothing fits on, and they can't be removed.  Love old houses.  Anyway, it also sometimes leaks in that area when there is a heavy rain.  Roof has been fixed multiple times, so let's assume it won't leak anymore.  But, if it does, I don't want to ruin any good art or pics.  So........what to do?

I saw this over at livingwithlindsay, and thought cute idea.  Maybe I could make it work for over my fireplace.  Ahhhhhh, the joys of one more project.
However, in the interest of finished projects with no decent pictures.  I did take this old nightstand from this.
To this, although it is completed, I have no pics, don't know why, I swear I took some.  Anyway, trust me it is gloss black, -- actually 2 of them are gloss black, and hardware is back on, and they are living happily as nightstands next to my daughter's bed at her house.
Now:
-Fur Chairs
-Ottoman Covers
-Finish Wine Room
-Finish painting
-Finish anything and everything.  Oops.

TV watching elegance.  Much classier than recliners.  That's the way to watch a football game.  You?

I am really feeling this whole lounge chair vibe.  Hmmmm.

Secret Life of the American Teenager

If you have Netflix.  Like millions do.  Check out Secret Life of the American Teenager on instant download.  I saw it over on Jen Lancaster's blog and put it in my instant que, my daughter started watching it.  Then, I gave it a try, and I am hooked.  Totally corny.  Totally fun.

Back to regular posts tomorrow.  Enjoy.

DIY Business Cards w/QR Code Reader and Photos

In need of some great business cards?  You can easily do them yourself.  Want a different back for each card?  Doable too.  Great for anyone, put a different room, or outfite on the back of each card.  Also, put a QR Code on your cards.  People can scan straight to your web site.  Love it.

Great instructions here at Bangbylo , totally amazing.  Love these.  She put individual fashion pics on the back of hers.  Hit the link to check out.

Weekend Project Time -- Simple Easy

I am so far behind on any and all projects I have started.  If I type that again, will I actually finish?  Or feel worse?  Hmmm, I am soooooo far behind on all of my projects that I have started.  Lucky for me another weekend is upon me.  So....  Here are some more I would like to start and have half finished.  Just kidding, would love to have them finished.  Finishing soon, with great photos to follow.

A zebra chair. Yep, I need one,  I have some old wood chairs just dying to be covered in zebra.  What's that?  Yes, still covering a chair or two in fur.  Remember, behind.

Love these pillows.  I would use already made pillows and felt.  Also, might do the hair/or beard the color of the occupants.  Too cute.

I really want to paint a wall in one of my bathrooms black.  Still contemplating that one.  I just primed and painted over one that was black in a bedroom years ago.  I love the black, but our walls are so heavily textured you can never get a clean line and it drives me crazy.  So, contemplating is about as far as I will probably get.  Photo, atlantahomesmag.com.

What will you be working on in your spare time, be it a weekend or a weekday.  Spare time is spare time.  Enjoy.

Thanks for staying with me in my sparse posting.  Things have been crazy.

Can you feel the fur? Fur chair that is.

Saw this great pic of a Fur Chair over at Apartment Therapy.  Love it.

Can you feel the fur?  Almost the same chair.  Hmmmm.  Long weekend.

Or.....paint the doors black?  Or......just lay around and watch TV?  Hmmmmm.  Choices.

Great Trends and Fun for 2012

Happy New Year.  Will you be saying 2012 -- or Twenty Twelve?  I am not sure yet.  Here are some fun inspiration images to wet your appetite.  Oh, and in case you haven't been around the blogosphere lately, Pantone's color of the year is a Tangerine Orange.

Below, loving the muted colors.  Always look into the pic.  It is a bench making a lounge area out of a couch.  Genius.  Tuffted gray, need I say more?

Black doors.  Inside or out, love them.

Again, look beyond the pic.  This lavender chaise is part of a couch, and has been recovered.  Love it.  Oh, and mirrors.  Love.

Animal print.  Get some.
Love Zebra.  Get some animal print.

Eggnog and Diet Coke or Coke

Yummy fun drink for kids or adults.  I have been making this since high school.  Eggnog and Diet Coke.  Or you can use regular Coke.  Your choice.

Take your glass of choice and ingredients.

Add 1/2 cup of eggnog.
Add your Diet Coke or Coke.  Pour at an angle or it will foam all over the top like a bad science experiment.
 Stir and enjoy.

Now you know what to do with all that leftover eggnog.
