Luminarias as a Summer Decoration

Luminarias are not just for Christmas. They can be used to light the way all year. Maybe as a table scape, or to highlight a patio. How about to guide your guests to the back yard. Anyway you use them, they are great.
Simple to make luminarias.

Lunch size paper bags, also known as the good old fashioned #4. Brown or White.

Sand. For stability and to hold the candle. About 2 - 3" of sand.

Luminaria Candles or Tea Lights.

Here in the southwest we double fold the top, however, I have seen them simply cut with a cute pinking shear across the top of the bag.

Again, anyway you use them they are great.
