The Gimlet - Gin Cocktails - Summer Retro Cocktail

The Gimlet Cocktail is everywhere!! I was watching an episode of Mad Men and January Jones's character ordered a Gimlet. I was watching Swingtown and they ordered a Gimlet. Then I started reading Julie & Julie and Julie ordered a Gimlet. Gimlets are everywhere. A Gimlet can be made with Vodka or Gin, and appears to be developed by Rose's Lime Juice. So as a humpday quest, I think I will be learning to make a Gimlet.

Gimlet

1 1/2 oz Gin or Vodka

1/2 oz Rose's Lime Juice

Garnish with Lime

Put in a shaker 1/2 filled with ice, shake well and serve in a Martini Glass or serve over ice in a Highball Glass

Sounds yummy. Don't know if I will try Gin or Vodka. Hmmm.
