Anxiously Waiting for House of Cards -- Season 2 -- What are you watching?

Have you seen the first season of House of Cards?  It is a Netflix Original Series.  I loved how they released the whole season at once.  I love the show too.

Since you can only shop sooooo much, and you may not want to watch football.  Check it out if you haven't already seen it.

I can't wait for season 2.

Robin Wright Penn looks amazing in the show.  The clothing and styling is wonderful.

Amazon has a new series with John Goodman I will be checking out this weekend when I get a chance.  Has anyone seen it?  Not feeling political?  As always all seasons of Downton Abbey.

Yes, I will be watching the Parade and the Dog Show.  That should be #getalife.  Smile.

2 Color Table - Don't Trust The B---- in Apartment 23

Look closely -- This amazing table is 2 tables put together.  One side is white, the other black, or dark brown.  All I can say is Genius.  Love it, love it, love it.  Love the fuzzy rug, and the 2 chairs on just one side.  This could just as easily be used as a desk or dining table.

Photo, screen shot ABC - Don't Trust The B---- in Apartment 23.

What are you doing this weekend?

Mad Men Season 5 Interiors

One more Mad Men post.  Love the show.

What I am loving right now is the seriously sunken living room in Don and Megan Draper's new apartment.  Love it.  Look how sunken it is.

Another view.
View of the living room and steps when Don is being surprised at his party.
Another view of the levels.  Check out the great flat multi colored pillows on the couch.  I am seriously in love with those.
Since Pantone's color of the year is Tangerine, I had to include Joanie's apartment in tangerine and turquoise.
Loving Trudy and Pete's Fridgidaire Flair Stove.  That is so retro and cool.  I have loved those since there was one on Bewitched years ago.  In fact when the Hubs and I bought our house, our opening for or stove was exactly the size of a Fridgidaire Flair, wanted one badly.  Still do.
There is a pull-out drawer for the electric burners.  Such a neat stove.
Yes, a second look at that double oven unique stove. The stainless under the stove, where the towels are hanging pulls out to reveal 4 burners.  Pots and pans storage in the white below.

Those set designers rock.
These are obviously screen shots from the TV.  All photos AMC Mad Men.
Happy Wednesday.

American Horror Story -- House

Love the show American Horror Story? Here's a peek at the house when it was on the MLS in LA for $4.5 million. Post below.

I am working on my photo collage (copy shotting the images so I can print them in black and white). I did decide at this time to go all black and white with the pics. Work in progress.

In the interim, I am also going to run to my daughter's house and pick up a table she isn't using and put in my guest room, which we don't use, and redo the bed with some legs I saw in a Martha Stewart Mag (about $5) -will post pics when done.

Now on to the real post. American Horror Story. Totally love that show.

The house is really the star of the show. So here is some house info for you. It was actually built by Architect Alfred Rosenheim (it's an LA house - duh). Known as the Rosenheim Mansion, it sits in Country Club Park in LA, built in the early 1900's as his personal residence. It was recently on the market for $4.5 million, but has been taken off. It is listed on many sites as available for filming. Maybe that is how they found it for American Horror Story.

The house is 3 story over 10,000 square feet, 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and sits on almost an acre. Ok, I could never clean that much house and that much wood paneling. But it is beautiful.

Boo, enjoy. Now on to the next Holiday, Thanksgiving. Yum.

Monograms Sarah Richardson Summer House

Monograms were big in the 70's on everything from towels, to rings, and necklaces. I love that monograms are coming back.

If you haven't caught Sarah Richardson's Summer House, she put her Husband's last name Inital on the front of the cabinets. It is great. He has owned the cottage since he was in college, and she redid it for this show.

If you like the look, you could get the feeling with those new peel and stick initals.

Lauren Conrad and a very retro inital ring. Love it.

Monogram Pillows.

Monogram Bedding.

What will you monogram?

Happy 4th of July.

Drop Dead Diva

Guilty pleasures on Netflix. If you haven't checked out Drop Dead Diva, you are missing some fun. I found season 1 free for instant viewing on Netflix. Hopefully they will have season 2 soon, or Lifetime will run a marathon to catch people up. I did catch most of season 2 last year.

Season 3 starts in June.

Give it a try, you will be in Heaven (so to speak).

Check out Jane/Deb, and all her friends. You will be hooked.

Gossip Girl Headboards

It's no secret I love Gossip Girl. Can't help myself. I love the decorating too. This great silver leaf wall behind Blair's bed would be fun to duplicate. Except I am out of walls, maybe I can do my daughter's place.....hmmmm......

I would put it on artists canvas, you know how I love that stuff, and do 3 big ones behind the bed with a bit of space between each. Or 3 flat doors behind the bed with say an inch between them. I should probably price the silver leaf first though.
Serena's room in Blair's house. At first I loved this headboard type treatment. The flying butterflies, then.....it kind of gave me a Hitchcock kind of "Birds" feeling. So now, I'm not so sure. But if you are....sure that is, Target or Tah-Jay has plastic butterflies that you can just hang right on the wall. They have birds too.

Enjoy XOXO.

Bethenny Frankel Turquoise Bead Necklace

Currently coveting Bethenny Frankel's turquoise necklace. Pic below from Bethenny Getting Married? I must have one. Oh, I must have one in my budget to be exact. So, I am picking up some turquoise beads at the Bead Maven, and 6 silver ones too, and stringing it all on a silver chain with 3 silver beads at each end. I can't wait. I think I might wear it with everything.

Sarah's House -- Farmhouse

One of my all time favorite designers is Sarah Richardson of Design Inc. She has a new house project "Sarah's House" on HGTV. She is redoing an old Farmhouse. I love the show and her sidekick Tommy. It is fun and stylish to watch. Not only great decorating, but great personal style as well. If you have never seen it, catch on Saturday evenings you won't be disappointed.

If you have the Fine Living Network, some of the older "Sarah's House" episodes are on there.

Best combination of reality TV and decorating on TV. Worth the cost of cable.

Sarah, do another project. Love it!!

Entry and Mud Room. Great Inspiration.

2 Tone Farmhouse Kitchen. Love it. Love the oil cloth chairs.

David Caruso Sunglasses -- CSI Miami

Anyone out there in blogland know what kind of sunglasses David Caruso wears on CSI Miami? Has he always worn the same ones or does he change? I don't watch the show, so I don't know if these are the current glasses. My dad loves the show and wants some of the glasses. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Outdoor Dining -- The Show Dallas

I loved the old show Dallas. May have to get it on Netflix. What I loved was that they would eat outside. I love eating outside. Now having lived in Dallas many years ago, I can remember it could be a bit breezy. I do remember some breezy episodes. Running across this picture, I can't remember where, made me long for summer. It is almost here!! Lots of planning to do for eating outdoors. Do you love to eat outdoors as much as me?

Ode to Mad Men --

I will miss Mad Men on Sundays. I looked forward to it all week. I do have to admit that this season was not as good as 1 and 2. I did like the return of Joan, and that they started a new company. But, missed Joan this season. Disappointed in both Don and Betty. However, I still love the show. Do you watch Mad Men? If not, catch up, start at season 1 and go through to season 3 (which is on demand on Comcast). Enjoy.

The New Melrose Place -- Daphne Zuniga

I have been enjoying the New Melrose Place. What I have really enjoyed is the last episode with Daphne Zuniga. She looked real and normal. No weird face lifts and botox that is so popular in Hollywood. Good for her. She looked great!!

Serena's Bedroom Gossip Girl - Great Metallic Headboard

I am loving this metallic dot headboard that is on Gossip Girl. It is in Serena's room and it is great. I think it could be duplicated with canvas put behind the bed on a wall. I love the way the dots connect at the seams. This is a great look. Enjoy.

I love the eye print. What a great statement on any wall.

Rachel Zoe's House - Apartment

I love celebrity real estate. Which is why I check out http://www.realestalker.blogspot.com, regularly for my real estate fix. So here is a little real estate fun for you.

Rachel and Rodger in Malibu.
Rachel Zoe's new apartment. I wonder if they sold their house to finance her new line? The views on the show from her balcony are magnificent!!

Former Home.
