That Touch of Inspiration......

What is it about the beginning of Spring that brings thoughts of inspiration.  Thoughts of all the wonderful projects to do around the house.  And.....way to many to-do  lists.

A touch of my inspiration below.  Hopefully I will get to all of it.

Quotes as wall art.  Black doors.  Simple, easy and effective.

Butterflies as wall art. Gray velvet.  Fancy Mirrors.

Bull in a china shop.  Genius.

Lots of mirrors and fringe.  As well as pillows and a great place to lounge.

Same room below, and I love it every time I look at it.  Fringe, lounging, great black table, inspirational pictures, everything, I love it all.

Pillows on leather.  Look closely, the seat of the couch is covered and pillows are stacked on the couch.  Love the stacked art in the back.  That ottoman.....need I say more?

As always, black doors.

Ahhhhhhhhh, Inspiration.

Dallas - Are you watching?

I admit it.  I am a Dallas fan.  Are you watching?

Whose your fave?

Throwback, old cast.  Love it.

The 80's are back right?
Enjoy.

Anxiously Waiting for House of Cards -- Season 2 -- What are you watching?

Have you seen the first season of House of Cards?  It is a Netflix Original Series.  I loved how they released the whole season at once.  I love the show too.

Since you can only shop sooooo much, and you may not want to watch football.  Check it out if you haven't already seen it.

I can't wait for season 2.

Robin Wright Penn looks amazing in the show.  The clothing and styling is wonderful.

Amazon has a new series with John Goodman I will be checking out this weekend when I get a chance.  Has anyone seen it?  Not feeling political?  As always all seasons of Downton Abbey.

Yes, I will be watching the Parade and the Dog Show.  That should be #getalife.  Smile.

Bees in the Tree

Every year these bees build this huge nest in the tree out by the fence. At least this year we saw them. The first year we didn't see them thru the leaves and found the nest at the end of the fall. Now if they would just polinate the trees.

Dutch Subway Slide

Just a Monday random time waster.

If you are Dutch and running late for the subway, you are encourage to take the slide, officially called the "transfer accelerator", it is installed next to the stairway in the newly renovated station Overvecht in the city of Utrecht. Wow, how fun would that be. Look how clean and neat everything is, no graffiti, no trash. Looks like fun.

Happy Weekend

JFK was President 1961-1963, I assume this pic is from then. Love the fact that everyone is so dressed. They appear to be on a large boat. Love the hint of a chair to the right. I think my grandparents had a chair like that in their den area. Scarves, sunglasses, navy, what's not to love about this photo. Everything old is new again.

Can't wait for the new Mad Men to start. Happy weekend.

Random

Just random things I am loving.

Friendship bracelets. Remember them? Love them, on grown ups, love.

This reminds me of an old camp style bracelet.

Pic below, Love everything. The British pillow, the black, the white, the red, the color.

Love seeing throws on furniture.

Below, Rachel Zoe's old house. Can't wait to see this new season and her new digs. I love the chairs, and the art stacked on the floor, and the handbag.

Have a Happy Friday.

Organizing for 2010 -- Rolodex

I am committed to organizing for 2010. Yeah, I know it is already February, but hey, I am going to get organized and clean out the garage, oh and finish all started projects. What a big bite. So I am starting with this small Rolodex for all names, numbers, and passwords. Easy to add and subtract from, not very high tech, but is working great.

How are you getting organized for 2010?

Feeling like Fall -- Ashley Olsen -- Audrey Hepburn

It feels like fall!! With the crisp smell of turning leaves. So if you are enjoying an early fall day, grab a headscarf. Channel your inner Ashley Olsen or Audrey Hepburn. Both are beautiful.

Ashley Olsen for Marie Claire Magazine September 2009.

Audrey Hepburn.

The Rachel Zoe Project - Bravo TV Season 2

Guilty pleasures? Mine is I love the Rachel Zoe Project. Okay it is junk food tv, but great junk food tv. If you have never caught it, the show is on Monday Nights on Bravo. Give it a peak. Let's just say, "I die, and Banannas!". Fun peak at a fashion stylist. I am waiting to see how the recession hurts her business. Roger lightly touched on it and Zoe did a bit, but let's face it Haute Couture is not what people are buying now. If you are in the mood for some fun mindless TV, this is it. Or not, up to you.....

Reading -- James Patterson's The Quickie

I know summer is for beach reading. So, what are you reading this end of summer? I just finished Julie & Julia. When I ran by the grocery store they had this on the rack for $4.79 in the large size that they have been making paperbacks in recently, not trade size, just taller and skinnier. It is supposed to be easier to read this way. Either way, I am so excited to start reading it, wanted to when it first came out in Hardback and never got one. So yeah for me and my new book. What are you enjoying reading?
