While driving home the other day I was excited to see a billboard to tour the HGTV Dream Home. I promptly went to the web site and boy was I dissapointed. $20.00 to tour the Dream Home, and I have to drive on a bus. Call me cheap, but really $20.00, this is New Mexico, not California or New York. So alas, I guess I will have to settle for the tour on TV. Yes, I know it's for charity, but with the current state of the economy, you have to be joking. $20.00 for that is steep. Oh, well. For those of you that get to go enjoy.

2010 Organization -- Use Clipboards
I ran across this -- (can't remember where), and couldn't resist sharing. I love the idea of clipboards. They would be great in an entry with children's artwork, (what a great rotating display). Or you could use them for appointments, notes, and what nots. You could even place monthly calendars on them to keep track of 6 months at a time. Your imagination is your limit. Enjoy.

Laundry Room Re-Do
What a find for a Dollar!!
Old house, old laundry room. We moved the Washer and Dryer to one place and bought front loaders, which you can stack. Love it. Then, we have the hot water heater next to them. It used to be just open and ugly, unless the door was against it. However, when I was wandering at Big Lots, I found this shower curtain that says Laundry all over it, (now why a shower curtain would say "Laundry" is beyond me), but, it was $1.00 and it covers the space beautifully.
What a great way to spend a dollar.

Organizing for 2010 -- Rolodex
I am committed to organizing for 2010. Yeah, I know it is already February, but hey, I am going to get organized and clean out the garage, oh and finish all started projects. What a big bite. So I am starting with this small Rolodex for all names, numbers, and passwords. Easy to add and subtract from, not very high tech, but is working great.
How are you getting organized for 2010?

Display Lamp
Who doesn't love a great deal? I know I do. I have been coveting these display style lamps at Pottery Barn for quite some time. So imagine my surprise when wandering around Target, yes, just aimlessly wandering, I spotted a similar lamp in an amazing price. Less than $40.00, plus shade. I have to have it. I have been thinking about this lamp for 2 days. It would be so cute filled, with photos, mementos, or McDonald's Toys in a kids room. My problem, I really just don't need another lamp. Hmmmm, but I really want one.
Bacchus Lamp Pottery Barn $169.00 - $199.00.
Alternate Universe - Target Display Style Lamp $39.99, at your local Target store. Picture taken with my Blackberry.
