Pumpkin Pie Cocktail -- Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!

**As always please drink responsibly.

Pumpkin Pie Coctail

2 oz canned pumpkin

2 oz half and half

2 oz vodka

1 oz spiced rum

Mix canned pumpkin and half and half until well blended.

Put ice in a glass add vodka and spiced rum then pour in pumpkin mixture and mix well.

For more of a pumpkin taste -- add more pumpkin.

Enjoy.

Non- Alcoholic versian substitue Cola for the spiced rum and vodka.

Or -- Big scoop of vanilla ice cream, half and half and pumpkin and blend in blender with a dash of cola.

Home Office Redo - Pottery Barn

We are redoing our office space and I have fallen in love with this Pottery Barn look. I like the idea that 2 people can share an office or visit or whatever. Maybe just what we need.

Halloween Fondue and Fundue YUM

I love Halloween. This year I am doing Fundue. Good old Velveeta and Rotel. Some Taquitos heated in the oven. Some guacamole from Whole Foods -- (I'm a big cheater). 3 kinds of Salsa for my salsa bar. Then these great ghost chips (shown above) from Cost Plus Warehouse $2.49. More chips, because you can never have too many. Maybe some quick cheese quesadillas, those I will make. Yum. Fun, Dipping, Togetherness. Halloween.

Coffee Table Over Ottoman - Vincente Fox Designer

Large ottomans have been the wave for quite some time. But, sometimes a tray isn't enough space. Maybe you want to have dinner in front of the TV (gasp) and catch up on your DVR, or maybe a party, and you need extra space for drinks. So when I saw this great picture in House Beautiful, I thought Wow! How fun. A large table over the ottoman, how clever is that. Talk about layering. I love it!

Lime Green and Black Bedroom -- Sleigh Bed

Not the best picture. Computer problems have been plaguing me, will be totally up by tomorrow. However, it is my lime green and black bedroom. Using left overs on the sleigh bed that my daughter has left behind, since going to college. How are you using your decorating left overs?

We live in an older house, and don't have the luxury of a large master bathroom. I assume, I'm not the only one that can't have a large master bathroom, so these pictures are for inspiration.

Chalkboard Paint Furniture-- Super Fun

I love chalkboard paint. I really love it. I did the cabinets in my laundry room and the pass-thru door. So imagine my excitement when I found this chalkboard painted furniture. This would also work well in a kid's room to say socks, pants, t-shirts, etc. How fun is this!! Could also be done in green chalkboard paint, or even better colored chalkboard paint, which is available on the internet, as well as a recipe for making your own chalkboard paint at MarthaStewart.com

Photo Picture Wall --- Easy to Make

My daughter was talking about making a photo picture wall in her apartment. So instead of all the holes in the wall, or tape, I went on the hunt. This photo wall was done with magnetic paint which is easily found online. However, they needed something a little more apartment friendly, as they didn't want to paint! I found it!!.
Post-it paper for photos. Yes, the same post-it stick on the back adhesive like post-it notes. (Remember Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, they invented post-its --haha). Well, I didn't invent them, but they rock. You simply buy the photo paper, print and stick, or peel off and remove if you want different pics. Cool. Try it. Would work great on a stainless steel refrigerator!! Or door!!

Glass Top Desks! Beautiful!

The simple glass top desk tops on the file cabinets are amazing. Oh, and what can I say about the lucite chairs? Who doesn't love lucite chairs? Enjoy.

Serena's Bedroom Gossip Girl - Great Metallic Headboard

I am loving this metallic dot headboard that is on Gossip Girl. It is in Serena's room and it is great. I think it could be duplicated with canvas put behind the bed on a wall. I love the way the dots connect at the seams. This is a great look. Enjoy.

Boo! Halloween Month -- Black Furniture

I love black furniture. I really need more in my house. If you don't have black furniture, you can get the same feeling with black table cloths, and moody lanterns and wreaths.
